The UniTED Internship 2018 (Creating New Social Ventures)
The UniTED internship is one like no other. UniTED lets young interns experience and learn entrepreneurship by letting them create new social ventures with teams of 2-3 other interns.
UniTED helps incubates student social projects to maximize their social impact and financial sustainability to develop students into social entrepreneurs. With 20 hours of support over the course of a year, students are led through our Project Narrative Framework to develop comprehensive strategic plans for their initiatives.
Each internship week UniTED lets youth have a 3-hour workshop for all interns and then a 2 hour tutorial for each venture team. The rest of the time is dedicated to working in teams to complete assignments and build something great. The UniTED framework is based upon Human Centred Design and Lean Start-Up methodologies.
Interns design and prototype an idea within a 3-month period and by August have co-founded a social venture which can be continued to lead into the future.
