Training in Space Science and Technology for Ugandan Graduates
Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MoSTI) is inviting applications from suitably qualified Ugandan graduates who are passionate about Space Science and Technology for consideration for a full scholarship program abroad.
The Government of Uganda established a Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation (MOSTI) on recognizing Science, Technology and Innovation (STI) are the drivers of socio-economic growth and transformation the world over. Science, Technology and Innovation development is an important determinant of progress and transition from pre-industrial to knowledge-based societies. Therefore, the extent to which a country has harnessed STI has a direct bearing on its level of development.
Training in Space Science and Technology
The Ministry is developing a National Space Program in order to exploit the potentials of space to support national and international development goals. MoSTI has established collaborations with Universities and other training institutions in Japan and Russia for the development of Uganda’s Space Industry.
The eligible students for the Training in Space Science and Technology program will be considered for a full scholarship in a study abroad program leading to a Masters of Science in Space Engineering award.
Training in Space Science and Technology program is eligible to students with Bachelor’s backgrounds in;
- Telecommunications Engineering,
- Physics & Mathematics
and have First Class or Second Class Upper Divisions from reputable Universities
