Pollicy Civic Technology Training Program For Young People
Civic technology refers to technology (mainly information technology) that enables engagement or participation of the public for stronger development, enhancing citizen communications, improving government infrastructure, and generally improving the public good. Pollicy believes in the power of data to revolutionize how governments deliver services to their citizens. They aim to digitally transform government services through an information-centric approach and craft better life experiences by harnessing improved data.
There are major gaps within the Ugandan government and stakeholders in data collection, analysis, and usage within planning, budgeting, and programming. This improves data processes, service delivery, budget allocation, citizen interaction with governments and how organizations advocate for social change.
