The Kampala Innovation Week 2019

Spearheaded by key players in the Ugandan startup ecosystem, with support from the UN Capital Development Fund, the Kampala Innovation Week is here yet again!

The Kampala Innovation Week is an annual event that brings together all the various key players from different sectors to celebrate re-focus and energize the innovation efforts in Uganda and across the region.

This initiative is where all corporate innovators, representatives from the public sector, experts, entrepreneurs, investors as well as startups from the region come together to explore the opportunities to work together to build a connected startup ecosystem.

What to Expect for Kampala Innovation Week 2019?

The Kampala Innovation Week 2019 will look towards elevating various skills sets amongst entrepreneurs through interactive masterclasses and side sessions, a step closer to meeting international standards.

The initiative aims to assemble all key players and stakeholders in the startup ecosystem to raise Uganda’s profile in the startup space, provide visibility to its startups, both locally & internationally and thereby attract investors and enable global partnerships.

Event Structure

  • Discover/Showcase Zone: An exhibition and pitching competition space for young entrepreneurs.
  • Conference and Masterclasses: Expect a number of masterclasses, plenary and thematic sessions.
  • Engage Zone: A mentor or investor speed dating with entrepreneurs, breakfast area for snacks and coffee.

Dates and Venue

Entrance for the event is free and will take place at the Innovation Village, located in Ntinda on Ntinda Complex, Block B level 3.

Kampala Innovation Week 2019 will be a 3-day event running from 16th to the 18th of October 2019.
