The DATA4CHAN.GE Jordan ’18 Workshop
DATA4CHAN.GE covers travel and accommodation expenses for all international participants (although participants are responsible for purchasing their own travel insurance). International participants are also provided a modest per diem to cover additional in-country expenses such as taxis and food.
There are three application forms to choose from, so please read the descriptions carefully before choosing your stream.
The application process is incredibly competitive. On average, more than 20 people apply for each available space at one of our workshops. Be sure to put your best foot forward and spend time on your applications, so that they can really understand who you are. The team highly recommends reviewing past events and projects to get a feel for how we do things at a DATA4CHAN.GE workshop.
During the workshops, interdisciplinary teams consisting of data researchers, coders, UX designers, graphic designers and civil society organizations (CSOs) create data visualizations and devise innovative advocacy strategies. DATA4CHAN.GE is a workshop where CSO and the creative sector can collaborate to create data visualizations aimed at elevating public engagement and effective advocacy, which in turn could bring about real positive change.
