The Canon Basic DSLR Photography Workshop 2019 (With Sumy Sadurni)

Here’s an open call to all young people interested or currently involved in photojournalism to attend the free CANON Basic DSLR Photography Workshop.

Are you keen on photography and want to know more about capturing great images? Or are you already shooting and trying to understand the exposure triangle and how aperture, shutter speed, and ISO work altogether?

If you have said yes to any of the above, then the CANON Basic Photography Workshop is aimed to help you excel further in photography and create awesome images!

The CANON Basic Photography Workshop will be led by Sumy Sadurni, a freelance journalist and photographer originally from Spain, currently based in Kampala, Uganda. Her work is primarily focused on international current affairs, human rights, gender issues, conflicts and social issues. She has lived and/or worked in the UK, Uganda, Rwanda, Chile, Switzerland, Mexico, and Puerto Rico.

She contributes to Agence France Presse (AFP) and ZUMA Press (USA).

Event Date

The CANON Basic Photography Workshop will run from 9:30 am to 5:00 pm (EAT) on 27th February to 1st of March 2019.

Entrance is absolutely FREE to eligible applicants.

How to Participate

Forward your name, sex, age, mobile number, email address, home city, previous education, work experience,  your preferred genre of filming and lastly a brief explanation of why you would like to attend the CANON Basic Photography Workshop.

Submit this to with the email subject as CANON Basic DSLR Photography Workshop – Uganda Feb 2019.

    Picture speak more than a thousand words . it speaks for itself. Every individual should at least be on know that obscene images is capable of inciting crisis and criticism.

    Therefore training is Paramount to reporters ( photojournalist ).
